![]() ![]() I don't know the entire calculation, but as i have seen, as long as the damage of the attacker CAN take control of it and minimum damage is always at least 1, they take control of it and damage to the attacker by the city will be limited to (current hp - 1). I believe a city with 1 hp will be good enough for a scout. ![]() Not sure about Gods and Kings, but I think it has melee ships like BNW does. You're late enough into the game your caravels have probably done their job exploring and are expendable now.Įdit: what version of the game are you playing? If the base game ("vanilla"), you'll have to use an embarked land unit. Caravels will do the job but are kinda weak so make sure the city is down near 0 health. Double them up with an escort ship until they are ready to capture the city, otherwise the enemy will bombard them with a plane or city defenses (etc) and kill them.Ī destroyer or ironside or a marine can captured a city that still has some health left. (even one HP is too much for a scout) And those are good units to use if the city is in danger of being recaptured.
